Residential Terms

Payment Due Date: Billing is processed one month in advance. Your bill is due on the 1st of each month. On the 15th if your payment has not been made a $1 late fee will be added to your account. If your account is not paid by the end of the month your account is placed on a Temporary Stop. To reactivate your account, you will have a $10 reinstatement as well as all charges prior to your “temporary” stop.  After three months of being inactive you will be sent to collections and your can will be picked up. If Panhandle Dumpsters is unable to pick up the can or the can is damaged there will be a $100 fee added to your bill (this is not a purchase). This charge is refundable if the can is returned in good condition.

Transfer Service / Billing Address Change: It is the customers responsibility to stop or transfer service. If you plan to move across town or out of the area, call in advance so we may schedule the change and/ or pull the can(s). Outgoing customers are held responsible for service until notice is given to the office.

Rental Can Requirements: It is required that the trash can(s) be placed out for pickup by 9pm the night prior to pick up. It is required that they be on level ground within 3’ of roadside or curb and have 3’ of clearance above and on all sides. Trash must be completely inside the can; lids must be closed and handles facing away from the rd.

Customers are responsible for can, there is a $75 fee for lost or damaged cans. Panhandle Dumpsters covers normal wear and tear.

Loose Trash: We do not accept any loose trash it must be bagged and tied. $5 minimum charge with a $20 maximum for all violations.

How Much Trash Weekly: Whatever you can fit bagged/tied inside the one 96 gal can. If you have any extra you can set out four regular kitchen bags or two contractor bags or a can of your own (we do not offer a second can of ours).

Loose Bags: When it comes to things like spring clean-outs, we know that you will sometimes have additional bags that won’t fit in your curbside can (s). We’ll pick up all extra trash at a flat-rate of $1 per kitchen bag, $3 per contractor bag and $5 an extra can.

Bulk Item Pickup: 2 free bulk items per month, they are picked up on the first and third Friday of every month.  All bulk items MUST be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance!  Bulk items include ovens, stoves, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers, bicycles, furniture, waste tires off the rim (less than 16’’ in diameter), and other items not exceeding 100 pounds that are too large or too heavy to be placed inside a regular trash bag.  Large couches, furniture etc…. that require a separate vehicle or two people to haul will be an additional fee. We now accept AC units, refrigerators and more!

Electronic waste items include laptops, tablets, home computers, computer monitors, and/or anything with a screen measuring more than 4’’ diagonally, and can be disposed of for a normal charge of $25.00 per item  All items must be placed within 3’ of the roadside or curb.  Please contact us if you are unsure about whether your bulk item is acceptable for pick up.

Collection Times: Trash must be out by 9pm the night before your service day.

 

Restricted Items: The following items are NOT allowed in regular trash service or bulk item pickup:

  • Batteries
  • TVs
  • Liquids
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Yard Waste (i.e. grass, sticks, plants, etc.) unless bagged properly
  • Construction Debris and/or Remodeling Debris (i.e. shingles, drywall, toilets, bathtubs, siding, and lumber)
  • Tires
  • Auto Parts
  • Metal
  • Paint

Missed Service: If your service is missed or your can is not emptied completely, please notify our customer service office to discuss.

Commercial Terms

Payment Due Date: All invoices are billed every Tuesday for past week, and are due within 14 days of the invoice date. A 10 day grace period is allotted, and then a 1.9% late fee per month is applied.

Errors on your Bill: Contact us immediately if you find an error on your bill, so we can handle it accordingly.

If you plan to move across town or out of the area, call in advance so we may schedule the changeand pull the Dumpster/Roll-Off. Outgoing customers are held responsible for service until notice is given to the office.

Extra Charges / Fees (Roll-Off): $100.00 / movement of dumpster (if truck on site excluded), $89.00 per ton overage fee, $100.00 blocking dumpster fee, $100.00 overfilled dumpster fee, $100.00 per dryhaul, $100.00 plus any fines or fees for excluded/hazardous items, $50.00 per week lease extension, and distance trips vary.

Restricted Items: Please call the office if you have any questions concerning restricted items.
